Re: Can't ID this Tokai?

3 Piece Top points straight to LS50
Maybe someone carved 80 on the fingerboard to make it look like LS80.
Thing smells fishy!

Someone with sharper eyes will judge the rest, I guess.

Re: NGD....ES100J

Lovely guitar!
What is the neck profile on vintage ES100s?
Is it generally same as the LS from the period? Any big differences?

1991 Tokai ES-150 (non catalog model - specs?)

Hello, I have a lovely TOKAI ES-150, when I got it I wasn't sure about the year of production. I contacted via e-mail Tokai-Japan, showed them some photos. "Thanks for your inquiry to Tokai Gakki. I presume the model is made in 1991 in Japan and its serial No." "Thanks for more pictures. As long as ...

1981 LS 50 (Refinished in Shellac - Goldtop)

Hello! Its been long since this project was finished but every time I play the guitar I like it even more! I got a 1981 LS 50 in junk condition - top was stripped and the back was painted in something like a black marker on top of the red poly paint. I sanded the top and back all the way and refinis...

NGD - 1980 Reborn Old LS-80

2 days ago I got my hands on my first LS80. It is Old Sunburst in very good/near mint condition...frets have plenty of meat... just very few marks, last fret marked "80" ...nibs... etc ...all well! It feels very nice to play (haven't had the time to change strings plus I' ve cut my left index finger...

Now its back on track! https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5828/20334793630_f29cf7dea1_b.jpg LS 60 here with some am...

Thanks for the replies ! guys .... that were pretty much my estimations at the time of the buy. The neck reads 3-13 clearly the body read either 3-13 OW or 3-18 OW or 8-18 OW in one of the photos ....which if its a coincidence its a pretty lucky or well premeditated one.... (I tend to believe the la...

Yo Len thanks for the reply... I think there is no stamp at all.... that was stated in the add as well... So... it is definitely weird since all '79 silver stars had stamps... I totally agree about the tuners .... but my hopes is that since its a weird one any way it could be SS 80 with wrong tuners...

'79 Silver star with mixed signals ..pending!

I m waiting for a 79 silver star that was in a pretty decent price... Many clues point to SS80 (brass nut - saddles ... SS80 in the cavity ...) but the pickups are not Dimarzio....I guess the body should be nitro Any help?? https://box.yahoo.co.jp/guest/viewer?sid=box-l-azph4mb752ksfynjrworlht2je-10...
