I recently bought a Tokai lc122s loaded with mk11 pickups . It's a nice guitar , but compared to my Gibson lp custom it sounds pretty flat muddy and lifeless . There's nothing wrong with it , but the lp custom sounds more lively and dynamic by comparison . I wondered if I was just hearing the diffe...

Currently Tokai have only one neck thickness, one neck width, and one neck shape. Any differences you might measure or feel are random from the manufacturing process. You can't order a custom spec guitar with a wider, fatter or thicker neck. Neck specs. 22.8mm at 1st fret including fret height. 25....

This guitar does not look good. In my opinion proportions of the head stock and the shape of the control cavity does not belong to a real Tokai. I would not buy this guitar as a genuine Japanese Tokai, which this one tries to pretend.
