I'm going to look into the hollowed out strat body with very light klusons and a slim Tele neck. Checking the individual weight's it should balance like a normal Strat. Have you got that LS150 syndrome ? Put it in a corner , walk away and then come back and pick it up ! I used to call that the curse...

On the back of a Gibson LP standard neck it says " Sponsored by Isopon P38 ) For those in the USA ( Sponsored by Bondo ) For those in Oz ( Sponsored by LITE N EASY ) It just show that in the USA , Oz and Blighty we all speak some form of English  Bog. We looked at my LS150 last night and there is no filler that we could see around the inlays ( which was nice ). I noticed that filler started to show more on post 2005 Tokai's for some unknow reason ? But some of the Gibson Standards I have seen are more like car body filler :o On the back of a Gibs...

Hi Donkey, The Strat build sounds interesting, what's the plan? I realised after raving on about semi hollow or balsa wood winged Strat bodies that you could probably save almost a pound by going hard tail, if you can forgo the trem that is. A light ash hard tail might be pretty close, and you coul...

Many thanks for all the kind words. The LS150 went to a new home tonight and to an extremely nice person. Sorry to all the others that expressed interest, but I'm sure other LS150's will surface. I shall continue to look at the forum. I have a guitar builder in mind to build me a new strat body and ...

All the best Donkey! Your absence has been noticed around here. I noticed you said you will need a 2kg guitar, that is not going to be easy to find. My SG weighs 2.9kg and that's a light guitar. What about playing in the seated position? I cant sit too good at the moment and that could be a long te...

Welcome back Donkey, hope things start to look up very soon! I think ?795 still sounds very fair for a LS150, good luck!! If that still appears to be a reasonable price, then I may ask ?695 for a very very quick sale. I will mull it over . I'm not out to make anything ( in fact I know I will lose m...
