Re: PAF Vintage Mk4 Pickups?

Artec made pickups for several guitar brands and I would say Epiphone Korean made too, why not? It makes a lot of sense.... I was told recently ARtec made pickups for Orville somewhere in 90s buit not 100% sure. It could be put in korean made Grecos also. If you have a local firm you can negotiate e...

Low entry level guitar, laminated woods. I would not buy it but for collecting purpouses.
Always solid top in my choices.

Re: Identifying a 2010 uk tokai thats not in the catalog

I had have some 2000s LS with model inscription in the bridhe cavitie, older ones had it in neck cavitie but some modern ones I have found is in the bridge on the opposite. It is not your case however... It is a bit rare. Would it be a refinished one? I can see how there has been a tape but peeled a...

Re: PAF Vintage Mk4 Pickups?

I guess it could be Artec made because two holes in upper rigth and down left diagonal....

They would improve a bit I guess, but wire used and so much poting is a problem for a good sound.

Re: what "H"LS really means by tokai?

Thnak you Hammamatsu.

In fact, if you want to order directly a HLS with or without any twist Tokai will say no, you have to order through Hibiki or their authorized shops (listed in their website).... Would love to try an HES.....

Re: Is this Tokai African Mahogany?

Yes it is (it remembers the rain just like in my LS150 2005) and it is very well chosen. Could it be a 2 pieces back?

Cat's Eye CE-1000 1976

Up for sale my main acoustic guitar. It is a '76 made CE-1000, a Martin D28 replica from the second year Tokai launched CE (Cat's Eye) series, hence a lower production than later years. Yamauchi label signed as it should be. This guitar has a quality solid spruce top with a lot of "espejuelo" (as sp...

Original Nobel pots are as good as CTS if not better, they have a great taper and sweep, in fact, it is said Malmsteen used those (250K) because they were very easy to turn. Just for the record S. Duncan released a pot whit a similar behavior

Re: I finally became a more or less proud Tokai owner.

These are LC models with some special festures hence they would have a 4'5º boddy to neck angle, originals had 4º and HLC 3'8 º . Headstock would be 17ª as on premium instruments. Enjoy it! I do love Customs MARCUS, Tokai do no fret covered by binding lately, less time consuming I guess. I agree it ...

Re: "Best" Tokai LP Style Recommendation - Tokyo visit

Tokai neck size is perfect for me, over other brands I had including a well know you know one. I found LS150 2005 first released was the meatier whereas LS100 OR is the thinnest without being thing. Apple and oranges. matter I guess. The Navigators Custom I owned were not thick as far as I remeber a...

Re: "Best" Tokai LP Style Recommendation - Tokyo visit

Hibiki have their own specs Tokai would not use for another model than a Hibiki; if you aske them for a LS with Hibiki specs there is no chance to be accepted. It seems Kurosawa LS are a recent model specked...
