'Resellers' ? Avoid like the plague or use with caution ?

I've been looking at some of the vintage Greco Mirage/Ibanez Iceman (or should that Icemen?) for sale on Ebay and Reverb (part of the ongoing hunt tp and the right one..) I noticed that any of the sellers are based in Japan - not surprising given the relative rarity of some of the models in Europe a...

Thanks for the steer on the height adjustment Paladin. I had overlooked it as the guitar came back from a fairly reputable luthier here locally less than a month ago after a full setup. Taking your advice, I moved the pickups up and down, and experimented with the pole pieces too - but not to any gr...

Love Rock - pickup options, advice ?

I've had my LS65 for a while now, but have never really liked the pickups it came with - a pair of Seymour Duncans. https://i.imgur.com/D9bqnf1h.jpg I believe the Seymour Duncans in it are a 'Jazz humbucker' in the neck and a 'JB' in the bridge - supposedly the combination of choice for those lookin...

I don't know the spec of the LS128 - but first impression is that one looks MIJ to me. Any model or serial numbers on it anywhere ? Two minor observations btw - it is the matt finish which I know was an option on the 128 - and the fingerboard looks to be much lighter than the normal rosewood. (I dun...

Mirage / Iceman - anybody selling one ?

After spotting an M600 in an ad (semi)locally - which I didn't succeed in buying - I've developed a bit of a hunger for one of these pointy guitars. Does anybody have, or know of a half decent Mirage or 1st generation Ibanez (late 70's Iceman or earlier Artist) for sale anywhere ? Appreciate if you ...

Got you, thanks.

Based on todays exchange rates, the one I posted will probably cost closer £650 / the equivalent of 85,000 Yen to get home. Might be a little high on the price side - but against that, they seem pretty rare beasts here, even in the lower spec M600 form.

This spambot plague ..

Some of the other forums I use have reported an upsurge in fake posts by these things. Same to be becoming more of an issue here.

I can't seem to find a function to flag them to the moderators.

Is there anything telse / anything that can be done to help rid the site of the d@mn things ?

Thanks Wulfman - appreciated.

edit: I just noticed that 40.000 yen os approximately £310 - which is half of the asking price for that one.
- Would shipping and import duties/taxes add as much as another £300 to the price of getting one here to the British Isles ?

Greco Mirage for sale locally..

I haven't posed in this sub forum before, but could definitely be interested in this 1978 model Mirage https://www.gumtree.com/p/guitar-instrument/greco-mirage-guitar/1329967139 Wondering if it looks genuine to you guys - plus any other pointers or things to check for a potential bidder/buyer ? Just as an aside - I know Tokai made LoveRocks with solid (ie non veneer) flamed finishes: did they also make solid quilted ones ?
