83 Korina Wood Vee

Greetings all, Does anyone know of a good replacement bridge saddle for these vintage Tokai Vee's? It is all original and I want to keep it that way, but it is just wore out. This guitar is gigged with regularly and needs to work perfectly. All help appreciated, so thanks in advance! Richard Richard...

I know this guy

I am telling y'all, he is a player and a avid shopper in the Japanese music stores and he knows good stuff, and that is what he has purchased over the last 30 years. His story is true also about his fathers sickness. I took a chance on the guy a year ago and I am very glad I did. Kind regards, Richard

I know this guy

Hi all, I can't speak for this guitar, but I have bought 2 other guitars from this guy. A 79' springy ST80, and a 82' LS120. The strat is the best strat I own and I own more than a dozen and they are all vintage. The LS120 is the best LP I have ever played by miles period. I am now in the process of...

Let your little light shine!

Mike, That light is way too high. This is the one I use http://www.blacklight.com/items/chnvf4 . What, is that about a third of the price of the one you are looking at? You guys in the UK should go in on several, and share shipping. I don't have time right now, but I will get back to you about the p...

More information

Hi all, First of all, I wanted everyone to know that I found the shipping box I got the guitar in. I bought this guitar from Katana Guitars. Sorry it took me so long to figure out. Also of interest, I told everyone I was pulling the auction. Well, I had never done this before, and didn't realize tha...

Shameful confession

Hello all, Ok, I broke a golden rule in forum and vintage guitar descriptions. The story of my shame follows: First of all, I had "assumed" (and you all know what that does) that the guitar in question had a nitro finish; First of all, because I bought it as a model 100. And second, because it looks...

This is getting to be a lot of fun now!

Greetings, Gabe wrote: So is this guitar nitro or poly Richard? It will help us if you shed alittle more light (black of course) on the subject. Gabe. So sorry, for some silly reason I thought I had answered this. It is indeed nitrocellulose. Mike wrote: With regard to the decal looking wrong, as th...

More pictures

Hello all, I really do appreciate all the good natured input on the pedigree of this guitar. In my view, this is the forum at its best. Very healthy discussion, that helps us all learn more about the guitars we love. I welcome opinions on all sides of this coin. Since writing yesterday, I have gaine...

Hi all

Hi all, I am the seller. I am sorry for my lack of participation here. Actually, I received several disturbing (to me) responses to my description. I have been in a quandary as to what to do. I will tell you all my complete history with this guitar. First, I searched for my records of who and when I...

I have one

Check out www.atomamps.com I have one of these and it is the best sounding amp I have ever owned. By the way, I now own about 40 vintage amps.

John Spears is the guy there that builds them. He is a super nice guy and real easy to work with.

Kind regards,
Crushtone

I just bought a sweetheart from Vaporman

Did anyone see the ES150J Reborn last week. www.ebay.com Item # 280045882621 I havn't even plugged it in yet. But it plays sweet and looks awesome. The only complaint I have is it is a little heavy, not much. I havn't put it on the scale yet, but feels to be a little on the plus side of 8lbs. That i...

Thanks for the help Ian!

I hope I am not being a pain to you. You are being so helpful, and I want you to know, that I appreciate it very much! What are some of the physical differences between the different price ranges for the strat copy's? Like one, I think I have picked up on, is lower priced have a poly finish, and hig...

And also, What about AST and TST?
Are there any comprehensive books that cover these guitars?

Kind regards,
Richard
