Best place to buy used MIJ?

What's the best place to scout used MIJ guitars inside from Japan these days? Is JP Yahoo auctions along with Ishibashi still the places, or are there some other sites where to look?

Thanks in advance.

Metric since they come with Gotoh hardware.

To my meager knowledge Tokais, and probably all MiJ guitars, have never used nothing but metric hardware.

One up for Faber from here as well, I stuck the locking ABR1 and locking tailpiece studs on my Tokai recently and I'm loving them, no more rattling and parts escaping during string change. Their regular ToM parts, however, are just the average zinc-and-brass vintage type, can't say anything for the ...

Don't worry, I'm going to do the total makeover of new everything to my Burny as well, not like it's a valuable vintage or anything. However I'm still going to keep the original parts, aside from maybe the pots, switches and jacks, and I'd like to have as much of them and perioid correct as possible...

Yeah, I'm not expecting much from the original pickups either, the neck I have is nothing special really, the bridge pickup was replaced by a Gibson '57 Classic + by the seller I got it from, which is a pretty nice pickup so I'm not complaing. I'm just trying to get a complete set if I ever want to ...

It certainly is interesting and raises the question, however the pickup is rusty and grimy along with the rest of the original hardware on the guitar as expected from a 30-year old pickup. Course it could be just some overlap at the factory since, unless I'm mistaken, VH1 pickups were made to at lea...

I forgot what I wrote on the ad :D Yes I suppose the covers are not needed as I am more tha capable of soldering on some new ones, the pole piece screws are also an easy swap. However it does look like we might not have the same pickups in mind as the neck pickup to which I'm looking for a pair on t...

Thanks for the reply and the trouble of going through your stuff guitar hiro, unfortunately for the pickups I'm looking a nickel covered set, for an '87 RSG-75. Bummer for the TRC as well, I too only have the bell-shaped one, but I'm sure one will show up sooner or later.

Holy hell, half forgot I had this one up here 'till I set up an add at a local website.

Bumping, since I'm still looking. Any help sourcing from elsewhere on the net is also appreciated. 8)

Interesting, I've a very similar MIC (or Taiwan?) Burny RSG-55, but mine has the traditional 3 screw TRC. Nashville-style bridge is stock in these models.

Dating MIJ guitars from pots is probably a lost cause, I've never seen any asian made guitar use any sort of pot codes on their pots. However the guitar on sale on that Reverb ad is 100% MIJ, not a chinese Burny. You could try to ask the seller about the pickups, eg. have they been replaced. Better ...

WTB: Burny parts

As the title says. Specifically: #1 Later 80's Burny "bell with wings" TRC, b&w blank. As per this picture: https://www.sharpenedflat.com/guitarInventory/photo_156/Burny-RLC-105S-headstock_front.jpg #2 Fernandes VH-3 bridge pickup. Got an RSG that's missing one, would like the complete set for origi...

Thanks for the replies, '87 sounds about right and Google would agree with it as well. As such the neck PU is probably a VH-3 then. Maybe will have to source a VH-3 bridge as well. As for liking it, I like it a lot, overall kind of hard to go wrong with any 80's Burny or Fernandes stuff, atleast on ...

Help to identify Burny SG

Hey all, Recently, I purchased a nice Burny RSG off Reverb for a good price and now I'm wondering about it's exact make and model, seller assumed first 70's and then 80's. It's features are: -Three piece mahogany body with a center seam joining the two main pieces together along with a small third "...
