Hi guys I would like to nail down the detail on my Goldstar as I'm thinking of selling her on. Things like cavity codes and serial numbers are present in the pics but would like some kind of meaning if anyone knows. I guess the YSO is the colour but not sure what 12=5 means. Anyway please take a...
Thinking of selling my Tokai Goldstar if anyone interested.
Not sure of the exact model however this is the second Goldstar I have owned and they both had L##### serials and I know it is 1984ish in era. I have included pics of everything relevant but if you have a specific image request let me...
so you are saying that Tokai used two different colour codes that looked the same???
by my first sentence I meant that I owned a LPB and I know what it looks like.....and that is the colour I'm after....not metallic blue.
I've only ever heard of 1984 Tokai's using LPB paint jobs as opposed to Metallic blue. Plus I owned one in the 80's with matching headstock which had a metallic look to the finish.
has anyone else seen a MB colour code?
This is the thing with Tokais there are so many grey areas ;-)

(before anyone bites my head off....I'm only messing)

had a goldstar.....one of four and I aquired!!! some vintage 1964 start pickups( don't ask.....kind of like a rescue mission...this strat was a hire and being abused!) anyway I put them in my goldstar and it made such a difference. The guitar felt complete
In saying that though I recently...

thanks chrisheyes you have been really great in helping me in my quest!
I have bought a goldstar with a nice vintage vibe to it. In the end I had about five different strats to choose from...which made it even harder.
