It (the tokai one) is not actually a great quality case, it's very thin and feels quite flimsy - the ones in the link from marcus look far more substantial with their multi-ply build. Great price on them too.

People are right to point out the condition of the instrument as being an issue when it comes to agreeing a price; I think the question though was about the guitar's authenticity. SleazyJesus - can you actually demo this guitar before you part with your cash?

There are only questions to raise about this one. It looks a bit unusual: it could be a legitimate model with a replacement scratchplate (one with extra holes) or it could be a Tokai that was put together from two different guitars. Deluxe tuners and saddles were on very late Springy Sounds so...

How would anyone be able to tell from that description if it's a one piece body or not? Why is the question relevant - have you looked the guitar over yourself?

i think we're building up a picture here of fragmented distribution: Blue Suede Music, Audio Factors, Tokai UK....(gap)....Tokai Guitars UK. I'm not sure where the 1985 theory comes from for the headstock shape change. I'm certain I bought mine in 86 and Tokais were plentiful at that time...
