Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the TST mean "Tokyo Strat", and the AST models were made to sell in the US? Mine is a TST model, and could very well be pre 1982. It was bought in a used musical instrument store 25 + years ago by my wife, and I don't know if it was used or not. I guess...
