    Love Rock Pickup Change

I wound up putting Seth Lovers in my Love Rock and they sound great. I've also got a set of SD 59's I haven't tried yet, but might use them in another guitar. I was going to go for the High Orders, but after emailing, and getting a reply and price for 2 sets of the pickups I wanted, I emailed to...

    Mystery Guitar

Thanks ochay. A builder that looked at it about a week ago said the same thing. He figured late 60's to possibly 71 or 72, but I don't really know anything about Greco guitars, or their early numbering system.

    Tuners for a Love Rock

Would anyone know if Gotoh vintage style, center slotted tuners will fit an early 80's Love Rock headstock without any modification?

    Mystery Guitar

The Headstock, no name at all. The back of the neck looks like 3 peice mahogany with a volute. Ser.# is under the finish Kind of hard to tell in the picture but it's a brazilian board The neck to body joint is clean. Again, it's hard to tell from the shot but the binding has aged to a yellow...

    Mystery Guitar

Man, I could really use some help here. This is a test for you guys that are familiar with older Japanese guitars. I've had this for a few years, and it's a great guitar, but I have no clue as to what it could be. I bought it originally for about 750., based only on the way it plays, sounds, and...

Trying to figure out a Love Rock model.

Yeah, I've seen those. The one behind the counter also has a broken headstock repair, the veneer is flaking off, and the pickups have been replaced. I think they said the veneer was also replaced at one time. I tried it and it didn't really have good tone. They've had VGS for a long time, but...

Trying to figure out a Love Rock model.

Hey, another Canadian. Hi. Normally I would have felt the price was ok, but it has a couple of other issues as well. It looks like there was a headstock repair, and the front is banged up a bit. I know that wouldn't affect it's playability, but I'm assuming it's a lower end model to begin with...

Trying to figure out a Love Rock model.

I guess it could be a 60 or 70. The fret board appears to be brazilian but I was told by someone else, that at times they used wood that really looks like brazilian, yet is just a different type of rosewood. Also, I can't see them using brazilian on a lower end model with a 3 peice body. This is...

Soryy, I can't remember all of it. I remember the first four numbers as 2012XXX.

I checked it today. It has fret binding, but it's a 3 peice back. I was pretty surprised about that. The board looks like it could be brazilian but if it was a high end model I can't see them using a 3 peice body. The neck appears to be 1 peice mahogany.

I'd like to post pictures, but I haven't bought it yet. I'm trying to figure out what model it is before bringing it home.

Trying to figure out a Love Rock model.

Hi guys, this is my first post. I've been playing for a lot of years, but have always played strats. I've even repeatedly passed on a number of Gibson Les Pauls over the years, but I tried a Tokai Love Rocks a few days ago and I think it's time to re-evaluate LP's. This thing plays great and...
