Anyone looking for a LS-85S Goldtop *CANCELLED*

Love them, bought #1 as a test, bought #2 as a tremelo test ( perfect ), #3 is a Starplayer TV Silver Sparkle, a keeper that somehow sounds much more lively than #2 ( newer strings maybe ), but #4 is going to be the Starplayer TV Outlaw !!! How can anyone go through life without ever having...

Anyone looking for a LS-85S Goldtop *CANCELLED*

Sorry guys, just realised that it is silly of me to try and raise some cash by selling a guitar I bought new for a secondhand price, when as soon as I have the cash again I would buy it again in a shot, and probably only be able to find another new one. Going to sell off something else from the...

Anyone looking for a LS-85S Goldtop *CANCELLED*

................. which after a little research is way overpriced, guess I don't really want to sell it. Would ?700 be more realistic ?

...... before I put it on the Ebay That's apparently a vintage Tokai case from 1979. I imported it from Japan myself and is in new condition apart from a not noticeable ding on the corner of the headstock when it slipped out of my guitar strap and hit a table, and the straplock buttons that...

Holy Grail of vintage Tokai Strats ?

Next time I post this thread I'll try to remember to name it "What's your personal Holy Grail......"

Holy Grail of vintage Tokai Strats ?

Fair points Blake. I didn't realise before posting this thread that "lawsuit" would be such a touchy term amongst the Tokai crowd. Once upon a time I lusted after a Ibanez "pre-lawsuit" Les Paul, when they added the curve to the non-cutaway part of the body ( top horn? ) they didn't float my...

Holy Grail of vintage Tokai Strats ?

Maybe "most sought after" would be a better term. I'd like to get a Strat one day, would like it to be a vintage Tokai, but not being a Strat type of person, I'm not in a hurry..... ....... um, is it just a case of choosing with logo looks more appealling personally ? Did Tokai consistantly...

Holy Grail of vintage Tokai Strats ?

I always understood it to have something to do with a logo change, pre lawsuit meaning the logo of the MIJ guitar is more similar to the guitar it is mimiccing. Should I be looking for ads that call it "pre-potential-lawsuit" ? Thanks for all the positive replies guys.

Holy Grail of vintage Tokai Strats ?

For instance, how would a pre lawsuit '81 Springy Sound rate ? ( I'm always looking around the fleabay and stuff for Tokai's, not really a Strat man, but GAS is GAS )

Newby Questions about my Love Rock

The finish looks like the PRS copy / Tokai I have. I describe the finish as "oily". I'd buy that guitar for 75 bucks in a heartbeat, btw.

    Tokai switches

Edit: this is bad advice........ WD40. or probably better, a lubricating oil spray. Took a Tokai to the local luthier a while back for the same problem, he gave the thing a quick spray ( for free ) and said that if he hung a guitar in his shop for a few months it would need the same treatment.
