How do Tokai SG necks shape up (excuse the pun, please!) with other versions of this design? I have a Greco which has a much fuller neck profile than the traditional quite shallow SG type and I've read that the SG-85, as I believe it is currently priced/named, has quite a chunky profile...

It occurred to me the other day when I was browsing eBay that a couple of years ago there'd always be an Epiphone Japan 335 on there. I haven't seen one for auction there or on Yahoo Japan, Digimart, etc, for ages. I know that they're being collected but you normally get things surfacing now...

I've pretty much drawn a blank on this. Ishibashi and Apollon Music don't handle Tokai any more. Places which do ship internationally don't seem to have any in stock. Some of the UK dealers may ship to the USA but remember that their Tokais will have the extra 'dimple' in the headstock and...

Another very good point. The strength of the pound to the dollar isn't quite as favourable to us in the UK as it was recently but it's still a decent incentive. The pound:Japanese yen rate is still good but first you've got to find a seller using that currency! At least the UK dealers...

And single-handedly representing the cause of new Tokais on eBay most of the time, it would seem. I should clarify that I'm excluding UK dealers due to that small but off-putting matter of the the headstock 'bump'. It's a shame that Ishibashi stopped offering Tokais; the service was good...

Now that Ishibashi has stopped carrying Tokai, where can one acquire them from Japan as an international customer? Your suggestions would be appreciated (by me, although I can't speak for my missus! :P ).

I find this thread offensive. When I saw the title, I got the impression that a seller whose auctions I've seen on a frequent basis and have considered buying from had done something less than legitimate. Had I not read the content, this would be the impression I would have been left with...
