New Tokai 335 copy, please help!

I am with Honeyboy on this one. First, we all like our Tokai guitars. They are amazing. However, we all should agree that one reason that we purchased our Tokai's is that they are much cheaper than Gibsons and Fenders. I love my Tokai. If Tokai's were legit, they would be sold in the US. Stop...

New Tokai 335 copy, please help!

Hey bird, Yes, I do like the pu's. I was going to look into new pu's, but I think I will wait, the stock ones are working fine. I did have some cold solder problems, but the dealer took care of that for me. Do you have the Grover tuners? I like them.

Hey sunbird, Nice guitar. I have the same guitar. I agree, I can't put mine down and I could care less where it is built.

Hi JSD, I fully agree with your comments. Many of us get caught up in the name and place of manufacture. At the end of the day I want a quality guitar that sounds great. We should play for ourselves and hope that others appreciate the tone, not the name on the headstock. play on!

New Tokai 335 copy, please help!

Hi Dan, I have been told that the model number is DH 502 and is based on the Korean NES 80. I go with Tokai semi hollow. I suggest that instead of talking about it, you play it!

Yes, they are made in China. I have one of those. Does your guitar have Grovers? I am from Canada as well, these things seem to be a Canadian deal. I played a number of semis before I pulled the string on this thing. Mine is red. IMHO I think it is a pretty nice guitar. I had a few issues with...

    Tokai at NAMM

I agree with both sides of the argument. Tokai has the copy thing down to a science, and for the most part, that is the attraction. High quality copies at a reasonable price. I do like the new model in the picture. I have a Godin that looks just like it! (Godin came first!).
