the neck was stable for a long period of time. but when I moved I got a lot of fret buzz, esp during the winter. Adjusting the tross rod helped. Actually it needs much more tross rod adjustments than the other guitars. And the fretwork, esp. the crowns, is clearly better on the SG than the ES...
I got a 2006 SG155 that has always been great. My 2007 ES155 needed some serious break in before it got very resonant and lively. Finally, my 2008 LSS195 is also nice, although the neck be a little temperamental.
are you positive that the faber bridge, not the saddles, is steel?
the website only mentions that the saddles are machined from one piece brass or something

even my band could could tell the difference between the stock p90s and the lollars. the lollars had much better cut. the guitar was much more distinct, said the bassist. amps were jtm50 and jmp50.
