Contacted Kai Eastern which is based in taiwan. Apparently these were special "vintage" spec orders back then. The model has graduated to ES156 in current production. No wonder the neck is comparable to the neck on my R9. Love it! Here's the logo.

Just bought this ES110 locally. It has a "Kai Eastern" logo at the back of the headstock. Serial no. is stamped on the inside of the f-hole. I am quite sure it's a poly finished guitar. Too bad it does not come with a case but the guitar plays beautifully with a great 59 round neck and lovely...

I saw something interesting there... LS120F model?? It seems to have a long tenon, and light weight tailpiece. Nitro finish but I think it's a laminated top. Too bad I don't have a scanner or else I can send Ned a copy. Also, the LS80F now comes with two finishes. Matt and gross finish...
