    another question i would like to add... how would one adjust the truss rod? It seems i would need to remove the neck to adjust it... that can't be right, can it?

    It has a fender style headstock (meaning six on one side) and the serial number is inked as 3029766. i did try to use the info on site here but nothing seemed to pertain to that number. There is a sticker near the neckjoint that says "Made in Japan" and the guitar looks just like this one>>>>...

I had always heard how crappy Hondos were and then I had this one thrown in my lap and being very impressed with it, i found it difficult to remain silent when one the few sources referencing it...

    Sorry to ressurect an old one by I can't resist. I was just searching for info on my Hondo that was supposedly built at the Tokai factory in Japan when i stumbled upon this thread... So either I am misinformed or Hondo musta had one hell of a wet dream :) Either way, my Hondo II Professional...
