Yes I put a different trc on it. I still have the original. The nut is original to the guitar. You can the original lacquer on the side of the nut. The original cherry burst covered up the nice flame that was hidden underneath.

Ya that’s what I was thinking too. And you’re right about the pickups. I wish they were the originals. But these 57 Classics sound amazing in this guitar too.

Decided to get the headstock repair touched up a bit.

The depth at the 1st and 12th fret is consistent with the average 1959 Les Paul neck as recorded in The Beauty of the Burst. So it's not huge but it's a nice round profile.
