Hi there
anyone looking for a mint condition SG185 ?
I am about to put mine up for sale to help fund some studio gear and wanted to see if anyone here is looking for a premium SG before I go down the usual ebay/Gumtree selling routes ?
I'm in Leeds, UK. Will ship to EU if buyer pays...
....but wouldnt it have some serial number on it ?
the seller seems to be a regular seller of instruments based on looking at feedback so would expect him to know more about the guitar ?
how can we be sure its a 90's MIJ ?

Hi
sorry fro cross-posting in the classifieds as well..... but.....
I am a proud owner of Tokai LS150 and SG175, but I need to add a Bass for my home recording set up ( using a Hartke Bass Attack pre amp and Maudio Omni Studio with my PC set up )

I'm looking to but a nice Tokai Bass - preferably one of the 80's Fender copies - but cosmetic condition not...
FWIW,
my 2005 LS150 is by far the best LP I've played so far. Much as I'd like a reborn or something the recent Tokais are superb instruments - I wouldn't think twice about buying a MIJ Tokai.

Hi JohnA,
**** my timing...... I'm off to see the great Jeff B. on the Friday then heading straight down to Dorset with the missus and kids on the Saturday morning.
I live in Leeds and was really hoping to be able to make the next UK convention to bring my 05 LS150, and my 08 SG175.
Also...
Thanks for all the thoughts guys.
I found a great guitar tech via the net - and he turned out to be only 1.5miles from where I live.
Took the SG in - he loved it and we shared our view that Jap Tokais were fantastic instruments. He was very impressed with the build quality vs other well...
cheers Guys,
I guess so ,
I suppose on a 2008 NIB guitar I shouldnt expect it to get shipped from EU mainland and arrive set up totally to my liking.
a little bit of a pity to have to spend the extra wonga to get the action down on a "High-end" Tokai model.
Its really noticeably harder...
Hi All,
after a couple of days playing I have definitely decided that the action is too high on my new Sg175 the way it is currently set up.
Can anyone give me a step by step guide to adjusting the action and neck relief. I'm pretty good with tools etc - just never adjusted a neck before ...
Well, well, well.....
the Godin LGXT sold recently ( he got a bargain ) and the 2008 SG175 FC has arrived today ! Still BNIB. Fantastic.
One minor issue - 2 of the vol and tone controls both fell off out of the box as they arent tight enough on the pot shafts - but easily remedied. Pity...
That really is a beauty
- what styles do you play ?
love my LS150 and cant wait for the SG185 - but really have soft spot for my McCarty 1994 Goldtop as it arrived the day before my son Leo was born - so its a keeper.
must take pics ( err, this is a Tokai forum - sorry Moderators ) ...
