Many years ago I picked up a Pearl SG copy. Excellent, all mahogany, fixed neck constructiion. The only major flaws were crappy machine heads, and terrible pups. Replaced the pups with DiMarzio PAFs, and installed some Gotohs, and the guitar was a a highly gigable instrument.
