Riverhead/Headway EVH 'Kramer ad guitar' EVER SEEN THESE?

The guitar in the first picture seems to have one of the mods that EVH is said to have done to his own axe - the coin stuck to the top of the body near the Floyd Rose. Did your guitar come like that from new? Any more photos?

    1981 TE150 SB-BL - Parsons White String Bender Tele

That's a hell of a Tele! Very unusual.

    Wtf

So, it was a gold top but had flame under that? What happened to all the parts. It certainly seems to be a **** deal.

I finally became a very unhappy Tokai owner.

It's possible that white looking part in the pickup routes could be wood filler that gets put on before the colour coats. You could try sanding it a bit to see if you get through to some brown wood. It looks like the grain underneath that white section is similar to the main body wood, possibly...

    PAF Vintage Mk4 Pickups?

Looks like you've done a great job on removing the finish. Good stuff! Sorry I don't know jack about pickups or re-finishing guitars.

I can see how that might be pretty annoying. Hopefully the guitar sounds great and you'll hardly notice it in time.

I finally became a very unhappy Tokai owner.

My LS is from 1982 and has wonky inlays, but I couldn't give a **** because it's a wonderful guitar, and I don't notice the inlays when I play it. You might miss out on a great axe if you're looking for perfection. However, I guess this desire for perfection has come from people having to buy...

These are probably the most important aspects of guitar quality IMO. Gibson had some problems at one time where the tune-o-matics weren't positioned properly and those guitars could never be correctly intonated. Not good. Yeah I hear you on that, some humbuckers I have on a Japanese Thinline...

I can tell you that my vintage Tokai LS has inlays that are not accurately centred, but I kind of like it. Love your new Custom and the R0 looks nice too! Anyway, how's it sound and play?

    What is a fair price?

Knew I should have bought one 7 or 8 years ago.

All the best to you and yours, and everybody on here. Dark ***** happening now. I hope we see that there's going to be an end in the distance soon.

    DiMarzio and double creams

I take it you can't buy those humbuckers without the covers... Larry is a carpetbagger to the max! "With his mobile phone and his sweet cologne..." I knew he had the "PAF" thing, but not double cream bobbins. Jeez, great businessman, I guess...

    Tokai TTE 50

In fact it does - 473K means 47 x 1000 which equals the value in picofarads: 47000 pf We want micro farads which is the range that all guitar caps are. Pico is 10 to the minus 12 and micro is 10 to the minus 6, so move the decimal point 6 places to the left = 0.047uf. This is a normal cap for a...

    RIP David Bowie

Finally purchased Black Star. It won't sway me away from my worship of tracks like TVC15, Be My Wife and The Secret Life of Arabia but still a good album. Amazing that the guy could still turn out some good music at nearly 70 - he really was a genuinely creative musician. Where are We Now off...
