Honest dealer wouldn't spell Gibson as G-ibson. When I said it was fake I meant that either the guitar doesn't exist or it is a fake. To sum it up there was too much wrong in that auction.

Those pickups look different from what I had in my guitar. Could you remove the pickups and take a few photos what's under them?

My 800PR had fret end binding, are you sure that is not 600 model then? You can find 1978 catalog scans here somewhere, I think. Pick ups should be U2000s in 800PR and U1000s in 600 if I recall right.

I remember that my family was celebrating Christmas at my grandma's house late '70s. I got beautiful tobaccoburst LP shaped Hondo. Dream come true. :D

I think US Customs should step up and charge the tax from every package that comes to US. Is it really up to receiver if he/she 'wants' to pay tax if the Customs doesn't charge anything? Doesn't that make everyone who doesn't pay a criminal?

I really like the head. best of both worlds, beautiful cleans and enough gain for metal. I love the reverb. If I need any spice on top of the sound then I just use Visual Sound's H2O for some chorus and/or echo. How about you and your combo?

I liked the Fender Jimmie Vaughan Tex-Mex Strat when I had it. Best mexican guitar I've played.
