    Dating a Tokai Silver Star

I'll just post the obvious, someone with more knowledge will no doubt expand on it. Looks to me like a 1978/79, Olympic white, ss36. OW in the pickup cavity is colour code, the 36 on the fret board is model number, this was done before they started using the stickers that people took off, a much...

    ST60 Goldstar Sound - identification

Thanks Peter, mine had a maple neck/board, and although not a pronounced vee, it did have a slight vee to the profile.

My '60' had more of a vee in the neck shape, definitely not a 'c' shaped' Think it should have 'E' pups as well to be a Goldstar 60 I would say it was a 50.

Best feeling and sounding guitar of the three, in my opinion, was the st 50, a lovely two tone golden burst, wish I...

    Is this a legit Tokai?

I think the case is worth more than the guitar. :P

Bought this old Tokai, can you help me identifying it?

Would it have a '50' sticker if it were a 1980? Thought it would have had the 50 stamped on the last fret, could be an '81. Looks great either way. 8)
