    New SG

Thanks. I've also filed the slots at the nut as the strings got caught a bit, so now I can use the tremolo again :D (No 80's dive bombs though  )

    New SG

It's been a while but here's a new pic of the guitar New pickups (a Duncan 59 with an A4 magnet in the neck position and a Leo Sounds Growl Dog with an A2 magnet in the bridge position) + a new bridge and bridge posts. The neck angle isn't perfect but the guitar plays and sounds just fine :-)

    New SG

Did my pics of the pots add any new info for dating this guitar more precisely? (Not that I doubt the "1985-1987 estimation", but it?s always a good thing to get a "2:nd opinion".)

    New SG

Thanks. The guitar is very nice and it?s obvious that they used good quality wood back then as the instrument is loud and resonant acoustically. The only thing that I don?t like - and this isn?t a big deal - is that the bridge is really high off the top, which I suppose is necessary with...

    New SG

Just received my new Burny SG. It?s dated to 1985-1987 by the seller. As you might have noticed the Crown on the headstock is in not broken. The pup?s got grey cables and brass baseplates. The pots are not these small ones that one sometimes find in MIJ guitars, but regular sized ones...

    LP Standard

The guitar is nowadays a Gold Top. Removing the photoflame "thingey" with its glue + the poly finish has improved the sound of the instrument. It now sounds extremely "vintage" with a Tele-like tone that I dig a lot.

    DryZ clips?

    Thanks. Didn?t say much though...

    DryZ clips?

Hi, Could someone point me towards some clips/vids of DryZ?s?

    Squier JV Telecaster

Received it today. Great guitar! Weights about 3,2 kg and is in a wonderful condition :D The varnish don?t seem to be that thick, but I?ll have to check it more closely. The fit of the neck pocket is surprisingly loose, but the body and neck wood must be of a high quality, because the tone is...

    Squier JV Telecaster

Just scored a Squier JV Telecaster with a serial starting with a zero: JV0XXXX. A 52 reissue in butterscotch and with an "ashtray bridge", that seems to be in almost mint condition (apart from the back of neck having had the varnish taken off and beeing oiled instead). The guitar seems to have...

    Z Clones?

Just saw your post. Are you happy with the bridge pickup, or would you have wanted it to be slightly hotter/warmer/fatter/darker?

    Z Clones?

I?m thinking about ordering a VR-P1 set from RD pickups: VR-P1 Alnico 2 7.6k bridge 7.4k neck Initially based on the fabled Greco/Maxon DRY-Z pickups, produced for only a couple of years and found only in their premium guitars, our VR-P1 has a character and quality to rival the best vintage or...

    Help to identify pickup.

Haven?t got a camera at hand, but it?s like the sunburst model below: Late 80?s /early 90?s RSA-100 in near mint condition, 60?s profile neck and these 2:nd generation VH-1 pu?s :D (Might try a set of Dry Z clones in it though) Very nice indeed 8) Now I just need a Butterscotch Tele, and...

    FS\EUROPE BURNY RSA-100-60 335 CHERRY

The guitar showed up today :D The UPS folks obviously had tossed it around a bit as the neck pickup almost had bumped out of the mounting ring  Thanks to YOGA?s professonal packing, the guitar still was in perfect condition! A beautiful instrument it is and I have a feeling that I...
