    Tokai SG35 - Not impressed :(

Oh dear. There are SO many rumours about Chinese manufacture! There are DEFINITELY more than 4 guitar making factories in China, and not every Chinese guitar is made in the same factory at all, that's nonsense! Epiphone may or may not have their own factory, but I know for a fact that they...

Lots of people waiting for Tokai's to come into the UK

As a dealer, it really gets on my nerves!! Richtone have obviously taken Tokai on board in a big way so it must drive them absolutely insane! I've basically stopped taking pre-orders on an Tokai guitars based on shipping times because they NEVER come through on time. I was promised LS150s...

How to Peter Green my Love Rock?

You don't need to replace your pickups and you don't need to flip the magnets or reverse the pickup. What Peter did, was take his pickup apart and put it back together wrong with the magnets and the wiring the wrong way round, resulting in the neck pup being out of phase with the bridge. Don't...

    Tokai ES cases

I can't be 100% sure but I think it is an original Tokai case. Those cases won't survive rough use though, fine if you're careful but if you are quite hard on your gear I would get a Hiscox 335 case, or something like THIS which is not quite as tough as the Hiscox one, but will protect the...

    Tokai LS 150

LS150s are great guitars.... but irritatingly hard to get hold of in the Uk! To the point that I am seriously considering dropping Tokai from the brands I keep... great guitars but I just don't seem to be able to get the stock!

How far should you go selling a fake ?

It's a funny thing all this fake business! There are many points that immediately spring to mind that I don't really have answers to, but they bug me.... - Some guitars are SO obviously fakes but yet people still buy them! - eBay/Paypal etc simply don't care as long as they get their money -...

    LC53 or LS48 ?

The LC does sound quite different to the LS The pickup/body differences result in a darker, less mid-range tone. Great for fat metal playing but it is not so cutting for rock lead work. IMHO of course, but they definitely sound different so I would highly recommend trying both before you...

    Case Candy

In the Uk none of them seem to come with anything at all from the distributor, it's not the retailers removing stuff. Its a real pain and I am not impressed by it! I've gone on about the lack of correct cases on here enough now so I'm not going to bring it up again but it does annoy me a lot!

    LS230 vs LS135

Yes - that, as I understand it, is the main difference. I am no expert in woods but Honduras Mahogany is a lighter, but extremely high grade and very expensive mahogany. It is this that makes the LS230 surprisingly lightweight but still retaining all the ballsy tone of a "Les Paul" - it is also...

    Ls1000 owners chime in

Haha! Yeah we have got some good stuff! The Mavericks are actually made in Korea, shipped to the UK in component form and assembled and setup in the UK Very nice guitars, sadly not big sellers though and I think it is cos they have pitched themselves too near Ibanez! The Vintage Peter Green...
