i have an ES100 as well and the details you mentioned are inside as well. and no headstock stamp. however, i think some older ES models had their serial stamped on the headstock.

Ouch.. @ OZ guitar prices! mind you, in NZ it's not any better :D

i've got the same amp, the hiss and thump are there at higher volumes. the hiss is more audible at high gain settings..

just got this during the weekend 8) ES100SR hmmmm semi hollow goodness :P

either that or get someone else to do it! :P

thanks for the reply. See thru red makes sense.. i can see the grain, it does look cool. it was this or an epi 335 and it was a no brainer really. :P i'm also GASing for a goldtop Tokai. Tokai's all the way!
