Changed pots and knobs does not fit??

I changed the pots of my UES 120 SB (UK Version) to CTS. Tough job to enlarge the holes, but it works now. But the stock amber pots do not fit the CTS pots??

    ES100R questions

Nothing wrong with changing the pickups to Seymour Duncans, if you store the original ones. Changing the pups on a semi is quite tricky, so get a pro for that job. BTW the fretboards needs some cleaning and oiling urgently!!

My ES120 - plus suggestions for a new acquisition!

Hi i think these Agile are MICh. Where would you get them from? I've only seen this rondomusic on the web! Are there other sources. I seen nice ones made by Vintage in the Icon series, they come thru musik produktiv in Ibbenb?ren Germany. They are already reliced...

    changing pickups on es130?

Hi, riffhai! i think since 2 weeks the same way. I have always been a humbucker-guy until a recieved a Squier Strat with Texas special and a Pearly Gates + (from a Lonestar strat). This clearness in the neck is amazing. I had a Humbucker sized P90 in the neck of a hollow body, which is great...

Aluminium tailpiece - Best Source ?

Hi all, i bought a faber kit and a alu stoptailpiece from Gottfried some time ago. I first installed the faber kit with the original gotoh stoptailpiece. Impressions: solid, neat and well fitting. The stoptailpiece is firmly grabbed by the studs. Great. This week i changed the strings and put...

    LP style vs 335 style

I bought an ES 120 three month ago and constantly swapping pickups / settings. Part of the difference is the sustain and a certain compression that come with the LP. The chords are tighter and more compressed, riffing is easy. The ES is more of separate tones which make it sound looser. The...

I work for a trading company in Germany, but we are not selling musical instruments. But the way of thinking is not new. A dealer has a certain area to cover from his shop. All the people in this area are coming to him - in most cases. This is more or less granted - to sell too cheap to these...

    Tokai ES-60

Dominik, I didn't get it right. What do new pots to the sound? i dont use the pots - they are always full on - so in my book only the DC resistance could change the sound for me. Am i right?

Copies of Les Paul Juniors / Melody Makers

I hope it dont get flamed here, but Gibson makes a nice double cutaway Special with worn finish for about 900 Euros - i love their 'TV Yellow Worn'. But be sure to check the guitar for quality issues! But at least i bought a used Hamer Special USA for 800 Euro - what a deal!
