well I saw the same string tree on the 84 gold star with the strat headstock. Also the use of deluxe tuners and the final prograde saddles has prompted me to look at possibillities

fantastic guitar what does the 1 = number represent you said the 1 might be the month ie January but the other number? I was looking at the TOKAI reg and it said 4 digit serial was 80 - 82 modelling a 56 Strat or the like But you mentioning the Goldstar, promted me to look at those headstock...

Hi JDB yes I just bought this off of Evan from Sydney. I opened it up and just got a bit confused. It all looks so new. No tell tale Springy signs Just got it yesterday. I asked him today if he had your name and he said JDB

Ok so Ive figured out how to post pics here. Here is my newly aquired ST80. was advertised as an 82. But im thinking by the backplate its an 80. but the rest is pretty confusing and the hole wiring harness and pickups look non stock. Has deluxe tuners and Final Prospec saddles on bridge. 1 =15...

Hi have just joined but wanted to share this guitar I picked up a week or so ago. I believe it to be all original and have cleaned it up. It is an absolute joy to play and sounds amazing. Is there any way of telling which model it is. There arent many of these for sale on the internet anywhere...
