Just received my 1980 LS60...bought through Rinkya and shipped via EMS. Only took 4 days to get here, (Melbourne, Australia). No issues whatsoever.

I'm located in Melbourne Australia and I'm in the market for a Tokai Reborn LP... berween '79 and '82...LS80, Ls100, or LS120. If there's anybody located in Australia looking at selling, feel free to pm me. My preference is for a slimmer neck profile, if they are in existence. T.I.A

I've just contacted Vanessa at Rinkya regarding shipping to Australia. She said they are monitoring the situation, and so far no problems. She also said that acoustic guitars are more likely to be affected than electrics...at this stage.

Nice LS 160. I'm looking at buying one myself. Are the necks closer to a chunky "D" shape, or a smaller "C" shape?

I'm pretty much in the same ballpark. I don't feel comfortable at all with the wider necks, as I'm not "blessed" with large hands, and in particular, long fingers. I get a little "confused", (for want of a better word), with all of the different neck profiles, and the various shapes and sizes. I...

As I understand it, the neck profiles on the "vintage" Tokai LP's were mainly on the chunky side. Of the current, or more recent Love Rock premium models with solid flame tops (eg ls260 or an ls380), does either one or both have the slimmer 60's neck?

Nah, she's a home grown Aussie girl. I think the only thing Brazilian about her might be her..... well you know. :lol:

I hope the bidder has taken the time to read the seller's added comments. The only part of the guitar that is Tokai is the neck! Could be a case of misleading advertising, as the GUITAR is listed as being a Tokai. :o

I'm assuming that there is a geiger counter included aswell, given the asking price :lol:

I currently have a '92 LS55 Cherry Sunburst. The only mods are upgraded pups, (Stan Hinesley Legacy). I don't know what the originals were as there are no stamps or any markings whatsoever on them. In the next few months I would like to upgrade to a solid flame top, and the only brand new...

How would you describe the neck. Is it on the chunky side, or is it closer to the 60's slim taper? I prefer the 60's coz unfortunately my hands aren't very big. Also, how do the pups sound? (subjective question I know). I'm seriously looking at a Stork FM and possibly upgrading the pups to some...

Confirmation that the Stork FM is a solid flame top, not a veneer. They are fitted with a Switchcraft toggle and jack, and CTS pots

Only a newbie here but love the craftmanship and unique qualities that the Japanese guitars possess. Just wondering if the Seventy Seven Stork FM has a solid flamed maple top, or is it a veneer?
