I saw that LS80 posted in another forum, it said a problematic LS80 that was listed cheap to cover repairs. It did not go into detail, but I would send the seller a message and ask why it is problematic. I do not know the seller, but his post of problematic has me worried lol.

Mine originally came with Rolphs, but they have been changed. I am in the process of getting the Rolphs.

I recently got what was sold to me as a 2007 LS2PX, but the pickup cavity says 1PX. Great guitar whatever it is!

I have a LS60 solid flame top but it is a 1981. It is hard to make the fretboard stamp out.

I read this thread yesterday and became a supporter, otherwise I didn't really know it was a thing, I did donate a singular time once when asked in my inbox though. I do not post a lot but I do read a lot so I have no problem supporting it.

I don't think I ever posted a picture of the black LS80/120 pickup cavity. There is no veneer but I do not see flame. This image was when my luthier removed some finish, I sanded some more and cannot see any flame. The worn edge in the image looks like a veneer sometimes but it is not.

I cannot even find the seam.

It was just not normal, could have been that it had gotten so dry and hardened. The original frets had life but were sharp on the ends and I wanted something taller, it was reasonable, I have a great luthier near me. The guitar plays like butter now and the thinner neck is easier to play on with...
