1987 Greco EG68-70 Mint Collection LP Custom replica

1987 Fujigen Gakki Japan made Greco EG68-70 in a lovely cherry red finish. Rare color as this model typically came in black or tobacco burst. I've trolled the web for many years and have only seen a couple in red, as well as blue and amber. Likely a limited run or order made piece. Features...

1982 Greco "Mint Collection" 57 goldtop LP

Exceptionally fine example from the golden age of Japan Vintage guitar craft.. made of old growth mahogany with full thickness carved maple top. Fujigen-Gakki made Greco EG57-50 model. Upgraded with Dimarzio Norton humbucker set and recent professional refret with Dunlop 6100 "tall jumbo" frets...

1986 EG-500 Goldtop any good? I consider buying online help!

Two points.. the '87 model EG68-70 I mentioned is solid transparent cherry (not vintage sunburst) It is very likely part of a limited run for a Japanese retailer. I've seen a few of these over the years on YJ. I've also seen this model in transparent blue. I will defer to Villager and others...

1986 EG-500 Goldtop any good? I consider buying online help!

Tiny sized jpeg but clearly a 57 gold top shown on this page of the 1985 catalog. Others here with way more knowledge than me will tell you that Greco made plenty of things that don't show up in a catalog. Case in point.. my 1987 EG68-70.. LP Custom style in cherry red with flame veneer top...

1986 EG-500 Goldtop any good? I consider buying online help!

Gordon.. looked at your pics.. that's an EG57-50. Should have Screamin pickups or maybe just unlabeled Gotoh humbuckers. Either way.. looks to be a nice LP. Very similar to my '82 model. Mine has a big beefy neck profile and is one of the nicest Greco's I've owned. Congrats.

Gordon.. pics would help if you can post a link to them. I have a 1982 Greco '57 gold top reissue that is one of my most prized LP's. So you may have something there.. hard to say without photos.

    1984 Mint Collection re-fretting

I acquired a near mint 1982 Greco EG57-50 a few years ago. Great guitar but had very small *vintage* style frets. It didn't need refretting per se but was difficult to play compared to my other Grecos. I had it refretted with Dunlop 6100's and never looked back. This Greco practically plays...

    Greco Les Paul Custom Hardware

In the past I have bought these for 80's Greco restorations and they were drop in replacements. I believe they are made by Gotoh? http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Bridges,_tailpieces/Electric_guitar,_Tune-o-matic_bridges/ABR-1_Tune-o-matic_Bridges_and_Parts/ABR-1_Tune-o-matic_Bridge.html

NGD - 81 Greco EGF59-70? Transitional Mint Collection

Agree 100%.. might even be 1991 judging from the serial number. I've had a couple of 89's very similar to this one. Very nice score.

Anyone Have a 1982 Greco Catalog?

Rich.. I think you have the same '82 model as me. Mine looks just like this one (which I believe is yours?) and has the "500" rectangular sticker on the headstock back. %$$@@ amazing guitar!

Opinions Wanted: Value for Double Trick pickups?

I've never heard the Dry Z's firsthand.. only the Dry 82's in a couple of different Greco LP's. Good sounding but not moreso than your average modern day Dimarzio Virtual PAF or similar. I recently owned an '82 Greco EX-800 (their Hamer Explorer replica) that came stock with a pair of uncovered...

Greco EG700 on eBay - do you believe?

Being black, I took it to be an early '82 EG59-45. Transitional SR logo but with the "cut O" Mint Collection logo as well. Replaced knobs IMO. I don't care for the pointy cutaway radius either Rich. Looks like the 70's Gibsons. They got it right a little later on didn't they. $926 is silly...
