Thanks for the feedback Ned. Actually, I passed on the ones for about $800.00 and went for the better sounding playing one for $1100. Better detail on the fit and finish. Oh well, I may have overpaid, but I like it.

I just bought a used Tokai LP, and am not sure how I can tell which model it is. It is made in Japan in 2000, based on the serial no. 0004144. It has a flame top, that may be sycamore but looks like maple to me, as the cap visable under the binding in the cutaway seems to match. Is the model...
