I have a 1980 Super Power with Fret Edge binding. So at least some of the Super Powers had this feature.

I definitely would not route it. Either find another guitar that works for you or just get used to it.

A lot of good cable info at www.lavacable.com Mark's build quality is excellent as well. If you are thinking of getting into higher end cables Lava Cable is my first choice.

It's always best to make sure you get clear pics of everything you want to see before pulling the trigger. I am not siding with the seller at all, but as usual buyer beware. I hope you get it worked out because it does suck to be taken.

In the pic of the headstock it looks like there is a large gap between the nut and the faceplate on the headstock.
