I order all the Tokai LS models with SBB-215 jumbo frets. However Tokai will not do stainless steel.

It's a regular Made in Japan ATE (B), B for Binding Custom model, the colour is YS Yellow Sunburst. Currently in 2020 it's a ATE106B YS.

Unfortunately, it's apparent, most guitarists don't know who Wishbone Ash is. :) But they know who the Allman Brothers and Thin Lizzy are, and of course Iron Maiden, but they don't realize Wishbone Ash preceded those bands with dual harmony lead guitar playing. :)

That's one of my guitars...I'm the distributor in SA. The E is a custom spec Tokai do for me, it means an Ebony fretboard. Another custom spec on all my made in Japan Tokais, I ask for bigger frets, SBB-215 jumbos. Current model is the LC136E. That guitar smokes, extremely high quality...

Yes I had a bunch of the ones like the photo., sold them all. Not the SEB ones, just the regular solid mahogany bodies. Brilliant guitars.

There were two models, mine was the lower end one. The high end ones were awesome...wish I could get a few of them.

I must confess, it's been lying in my storeroom cupboard for a few months so I'd forgotten what it sounded like before the mod. :) It's just a great guitar, resonates like crazy, fat chunky neck, pretty much sounds like an LS model. Mine came stock with a Tonepros bridge, the one with those...

I know the current Tokais are nitro because a friend/tech sprayed one with compressed air aerosols which freezes the nitro and checks it...it won't work on poly.
