Thanks for the suggestion, Emiel - I know these are rated, but I'm hoping to get something with a solid body like the 660/12.

Much as I'm tempted by a Rick 660/12 the price (plus the idiosyncrasies - tuner configuration, dual truss rod adjustment) make me look for solid body alternatives but they're few and far between, certainly in the UK. And as we know even Rick 'style' semis rarely appear on popular auction...

Howdy! Thanks for that very useful info, sir. I was surprised how chunky the Tokai neck turned out to be myself after trying the Epi standard bolt-on Tbird and the Pro. I've been eying up the newer Epi Classic model (slimmer, fixed neck) but I'll have a look at this Blackbird you recommend. Cheers.

What a player. I was a heavy devotee up until the late 70s but my favourite NY leads are via the first album fuzztones and the 2nd album's (no idea of the gtr but assume it's the Gretsch?) amped up screech.

Hi Jacco, I was surprised the bridge holes proved to be too big - the Faber site suggests this is the required non Gibson, 'import' type ABR and similarly specifies the smaller diameter holed ABR to be only for Gibsons. As it is, as Reborn Old suggests, and from the looseness of the metric...
