    can you fade an edwards?

hey Mick, yes true what you say. i was thinking more along the lines of keeping the guitar inside but near a window so the sunlight will hit the guitar, but not so much the direct heat from the sun. ever seen a guitar in a shopfront window. if it sits there too long it will fade and the finish...

    can you fade an edwards?

i would think so, might depend on your tanning method though. direct sunlight would probably be the best. does it have poly or nitro finish. if nitro, you might get a bit of 'checking' of the finish.

burny les paul is to heavy, should i route out the back?

Doug Aldrich can play just as well on his strat as he can on his Les Paul, something other people cant do. the point is that alot of players complain about a LP because they are too heavy, too hard to play on etc. thats crap. the LP was designed in the 50's, way before highly technical playing...

burny les paul is to heavy, should i route out the back?

basically saying if you can shred on a LP your the man (a la John Sykes, Doug Aldrich, Vivian Campell etc). most people bag a LP because they cant play one. i mean they have the tone, but alot of guys are not man enough to play a Les Paul.

burny les paul is to heavy, should i route out the back?

generally the ******** takes a les paul an says 'this guitar sucks, plays like crap'', but it is always the dickheads fault. or would you rather play a lump of concrete and look like a total ********... but a les paul does burn better right?

burny les paul is to heavy, should i route out the back?

whats the difference between a ******** and ***. well, just a Les Paul and the ability to play it.

is edwards just the new epiphone

mick, i dont know yet. i have a few burny's which are good but not great, but from what i have studied up on is that the Edwards are a bit more 'brighter' sounding in the Les Paul tonal range. i prefer a big fat heavy sounding LP tone. i have a few Gibbo LP's and a Greco Mint series LPC which i...

Questions for Greco guitars please post here

i think that is a mid late 90's upwards Korean model with that headstock logo.

is edwards just the new epiphone

i think that epiphone Les Pauls (and most of their other guitars) are lacking in the quality dept. big time. how do Edwards stack up as far as fretwire, wiring, pots etc. are they basically just another epiphone but with better pups?

Chambered bodies, How do you tell?

depends on you definition of chambered. the japanese had a hollow maple top over a solid body (late 70's greco LP), but Gibson have a solid maple top over a hollow mahogany body. if i am incorrect im sure someone will correct this.

    Rinkya time...

dont worry, a strat is just there to make you appreciate your LP a bit more in case you start to neglect it

Burny Super Grade - what would you do?

how are the pups in your guitar? i have 2 90's LP customs (96 i think going by the number in the bridge cavity) both have vh1's. one has both pups with grey wire, and the other has the neck pup with black wire (as yours appears to be). the original 80's vh1's had black wire, and the 90's vh1's...

Mahogany used in Edwards' guitars? (african or indonesian??)

Mick (leadguitar 123), i have a Mint series Greco LPC which is great, a few Burny LPC which are good, but not quite up to the Greco. i have been thinking about an Edwards, a 59 model maybe. i would love to hear how it goes if you do get an Edwards. with the bodies being so light i would think...
