Just an after-thought - and apologies if it is there and I missed it - but would Ned consider placing the link on the TokaiRegistry page which lists reviews, ads and other sources of information? I guess that might be one of the first places newcomers might look for information and it will be...

Iain, My books arrived today. What a superb job! The Blurb production and quality are excellent but your layout and editing have made the book what it is. Many, many congratulations and thanks for the hard work in bringing this together. Andrew

Let's see what others think. I don't really mind. If it says, UK, Germany etc that would certainly be more intersting than just "Basingstoke, Liverpool etc" :D

Hi Iain, I have no objection to adding the location but I don't really see the value either. I'll go with the flow but personal choice would be to omit it. Andrew

    A Tokai Book

Hi Iain, It would be great to see this come to life. The original draft looked fantastic. A couple of thoughts about the gaps... Is it worth deciding what you want in there and then maybe targetting appropriate owners (perhaps via the Registry) to fill in the gaps? Playing around with your...

    A Tokai Book

Hi Iain, I've just spotted a typo. Towards the end of the book (pp 48-49) there is a black LE which you credit as being mine. Sadly its not. Must be someone elses. Overall, I think the book looks great as it is. Well done on a great piece of work. It must have taken you ages. It would...

Iain, Similarly, I have a Metallic Red Springy ST60 with rosewood board which I could provide pics of if that helps fill any gap. Andrew

That's frustrating news, although I'm sad for Mike's loss. I tend to agree with Iain; in my mind the book was always about the guitars, not the forum but having such a major contributor withdraw is a big loss. How many (suitable) stragglers do you have? Do you feel that we could build a valid...

I emailed Iain last week and he is back on the case following his holidays. I think he is chasing folks for outstanding photographs.

Hi Iain, Given that this is something of a unique project, I'd be happy to pay the extra, providing we maximise the new limit to its full with, as you say, some additional guitars of interest (of which I noticed a gorgeous ST100 in Translucent Green on ebay today...

Hi Iain, I think the more detailed version works. It is only one additional photo per page and isn't too crowded. You could always vary page layout for different guitars / pages so that the overall effect is not too monotonous and possibly looks more spacious. Andrew

Fantastic! I've also seen a few of the photo pages - here and a draft of one of my Springy Sounds - and they look great :D I'll email Iain the final version of the article later today (allowing for any further feedback).

OK, updated tables included here: http://burningpine.com/TokaiForeword.aspx I think what we have now is a good, general guide. Remember the intention is not to create the definitive guide covering every variation (that's Peter Mac's job :D ), but a strong overview. Once again, all feedback...

The text before the tables does say that variations exist. The U / E stamped pickups are a common differentiator (even if not perfect) so I'd prefer to keep that point in if we can (but maybe mention that both Es and Us are seen on ST60s. Mike, to your earlier points, I think we can...

Never say "never", never say "final" :D ... I've added in the ST70 here: http://burningpine.com/TokaiForeword.aspx Any final words? Andrew
